Exact
If you tell us your exact blind size we will make no deductions and it will come to this exact size. This measurement is usually taken when fitting outside recess

We recommend the overlap is 64mm (2.5") each side and at the top and bottom. Please see drawing: Exact Measurements Recess
All you need to do is measure tight inside the recess (wall to wall) and we will make deductions for you to ensure the blind fits inside the recess. The standard blind deduction we make is 10mm (we will take this off for you) Please see diagram below: Recess Measurments

You are required to measure the bead depth of your window frame. This is simply the measurement from your glass to the front of your window frame. We offer 4 bracket sizes of 18mm, 20mm, 24mm and 30mm. Here are some diagram instruction to help you measure and we have also provided a step by step video:

Before you choose Perfect Fit blinds

Ensure your windows frames are uPVC
Ensure there is a 6mm clearance all around the outside of your window beading (the uPVC frame) to allow enough room for the Perfect Fit framework.
Check that the seals of your window do not protrude more than 6mm over the glass. (The seal is the black rubber strip between the glass and the window frame).

If your windows do not meet the above criteria your windows will not be suitable for Perfect Fit blinds. If they do use the instructions below.

Measure for your blind in just a few steps. You’ll need:

A tape measure – metal ones are best
A pencil and paper – to write down your measurements

When You Measure

You can measure for your blind in millimetres, centimetres or inches. Measure to the nearest millimetre if you’re using centimetres.
Whatever type of blind you’re measuring for, follow our instructions precisely and don’t make any adjustments for fittings and headrails.
Look out for the position of window handles and tiles.

STEP 1

Measure the width and drop of the visible glass area of your window in 3 places, the top, middle and bottom. Write down the shortest measurement.

STEP 2

Measure the depth of the window from the face of the window frame to the glass (this is normally 18mm, 20mm or 24mm) and write this down. This measurement is needed for choosing the correct bracket size.
